Who am I?

I am a current graduate student at Michigan Technological University in the Applied Psychology and Human Factors program. My undergraduate degree is in Scientific and Technical Communications, also from MTU.

I am somewhat of a “jack of all trades.” My educational background is focused on technical writing, but I am also well aquainted with the world of design. I currently work for MTU’s student newspaper, where I continue to develop my skills in graphic design, document design, videography, and photography. Soon UX/UI design will also be added to this list.

I have always been enthraled with the study of communication. All of my interests and academic pursuits have come from a fasination with how people communicate and what I can do to make increasingly effective communications. I am currently looking for a career where I can continue to develop and apply my expertise in the field of communciation.

The Lode at Michigan Tech
Media Editor/Layout Editor | Aug 2024-Present

Duties: Primary layout designer and editor for The Lode at Michigan Tech. Responsible for the design and creation of every print edition published through The Lode. Provides additional assistance in tasks requireing graphic design, social media posting, and maintaining the organization’s website.

Amoco
Station attendant | Feb 2023-Present

Duties: Maintained storefront organization and sanitation. Operated cash registers and processed transactions for fuel, retail items, and lottery tickets. Responsible for maintaining an accurate cash drawer and conducting end-of-shift reconciliations.

Husky Games Development
Vice president of operations | May 2023-December 2024

Duties: Ran weekly meetings, give weekly presentations, oversaw multiple subteams of students, graded student assignments and projects.

Marketing Intern
Intern | Spring 2023

Duties: Worked with client to develop the lexical library to be used by a custom sentiment analysis program. Involved drafting of initial terms, discrete testing on a subset of Twitter data, and refining the library based on results.
